Our Services

Tax Refunds

You may have a refund due because:

We do a free check for you covering the past 5 years and charge a fixed fee for a straightforward claim – unlike some agents, we do NOT take a percentage of your refund. You may need a full tax return if your situation is more complex.

Tax Returns

We provide hassle-free preparation of tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies. These may involve investments, rental properties, self-employment or businesses. They may also be for someone who only wishes to claim expenses such as income protection insurance or professional fees in order to get a tax refund.

We ask you the relevant questions, prepare the return for your signature and take the stress off your shoulders. We submit returns to Inland Revenue by Efile for rapid processing so that you have confirmation of where you stand as quickly as possible.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Do I need to do a tax return?
A: YES if you worked for part of the year, were working overseas some of the time, had withholding tax deducted or had more than one job at the same time, you should do one as you may be entitled to a tax refund or you may owe some tax.
NO if you are receiving a single salary, were employed all year and having PAYE deducted, there should not be any reason to do so. If you think you have been overtaxed see the section on TAX REFUNDS.

Q: When do I have to send in my tax return?
A: The tax year runs from 1 April to 31 March in each year and tax returns are normally due in by 7 July. Once you are registered with a tax agent you will have an automatic extension of time, generally until 31 March the following year.

Q: I want to start my own business – do I need to form a company?
A: You do not need to have a company to start your business. You can be a sole trader or have a partnership with someone and you will avoid many of the formalities. Sometimes a company is the best option for other reasons and to protect your personal assets.

Q: Can I prepare my own tax return?
A: You most certainly can, but we are doing them constantly and they are routine to us. You will be very familiar with your work and it may be more profitable to spend the time with your customers.
